Dan was Otto the Orange, the Syracuse University mascot for about 1 1/2 years. He got to go to the Final Four with the team and he also appeared in a couple of commercials for Sports Center and ESPN.

We didn't get too many pictures of him since were so far away from Syracuse, but here are a couple.
